Admin fully geared to tackle inclement weather conditions: Div Com Jammu | KNO

Jammu, February 14 (KNO): Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma Thursday said that the administration is fully geared to tackle inclement weather conditions adding that monitoring the situation and taking appropriate measures to address the issues raised due to incessant rains and heavy snowfall in higher reaches of Doada/Kistwar. Addressing a press conference here today, the Div Com informed that adequate supply of ration, LPG, medicine, petrol and other essential commodities in snow bound areas is being ensured. He further informed that 90 per cent of power supply has been restored which was affected due to heavy snowfall in Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar and rest will be resumed at the earliest. The Div Com informed that maximum roads have been cleared and the rest are being restored on war footing. He added that 80 % of link roads in Ramban, Doda, Kistwar, Rajouri, Poonch and adjoining areas have been cleared while work is in progress to clear the rest of the roads.(KNO)
